Katherine, known as “Kaye”, was born in the Philippines and lived in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 2017. Kaye is a Registered Nurse by profession but has been creating artworks since she was young. It was only when she moved to the Northern Rivers in NSW that she dedicated more time in painting. Awarded 1st Prize at the 2018 Spring Art Competition of the BACCI (Ballina Arts and Crafts Centre, Inc). You will mostly see vibrant colours and textured brush strokes in her paintings which aim to attract positive energy to any space. Her acrylic paintings are usually floral- inspired and her oil paintings centre on portraits showcasing different expressions and skin tones.
She now lives in Glenelg and continuous to build her portfolio.

“My artwork was once described as nostalgic and I’ve never forgotten that idea so I continue to paint hoping the same feeling translates from every piece… because we all need nostalgia in our lives”.
