Phyllis Gorey
Australian Indigenous Artist from Alice Springs, Phyllis is an Arrente women.
Phyllis Gorey was born in 1958 at the Telegraph Station in Alice Springs.
She grew up with her family at the Aboriginal community of Amoonguna approximately
14kms south-west of Alice Springs. Phyllis has worked in Aboriginal Community Health
for over 30 years as a counselor and preventative primary health care professional.
Her practice as an artist intersects with Aboriginal health and well-being.
