Born in 1962, Maureen Baker Napurrula is a Ngaanyatjarra artist from the Warakurna community of Western Australia.
Warakurna is located in Western Australia, close to the Northern Territory border in the Gibson Desert.
Maureen primarily paints using earthly browns, oranges, yellows, blacks and whites.
Her paintings consist of vertical and horizontal dotting and concentric circles to create grid-like compositions, depicting the Warakurna region of Western Australia from a topographical viewpoint.
