Hilary Wirri Jabaltjari with artwork painted at Glenelg Art Gallery

Hilary is the brother of Kevin Wirri and was born in Ragget’s Well (Glen Helen Resort), approximately 50 km away from Papunya.
He spent most of his time there as a child watching well known artists such as Keith Namatjira, Edwin Pareroultja and Joshua Ebatjarinja paint. Hilary started painting himself in the 1980’s and as shown here holding one of his artworks, has captured the serenest of his families style.
