John Paul Procter – Illustrator
John Procter is a qualified Graphic Designer, originally from Birmingham, England who specializes in mixed medium illustrations from life. He has lived in seven cities across three counties and these experiences have fuelled his interest in travel which features largely in his work.
He views life as an outsider looking in, to a ride in an amusement park called the world, brightly coloured with thrills and chills going around and around. Illustrating the ever changing views on the ride, capturing the essence of the scene, bright and inviting, asking the viewer to step right on in.
John has previously exhibited work in the Western Australia Art Gallery as a result of winning the National Art Award in 1984.
He works predominantly with copic pens and paint, often mixing the mediums on illustration board.
John has recently moved to Adelaide and is now committing his time and effort in the pursuit of recognition as an Australian artist.
‘Enjoy, it’s just a ride....’
