Irina Mirosnitsenko

Irina Mirosnitsenko

 Irina Mirosnitsenko Glenelg Art
Irina October 2020 Glenelg Art
Irina Mirosnitsenko
Born in Tallinn, Estonia. Since 2002 live and work in Adelaide, SA.
When I see a copper-yellow leaf dancing autumn tango I want to paint autumn.  When I watch noisy parrots in the park, I can’t wait to draw birds.  When spring comes and cherry blossoms, I want to paint nature.
But most of all I love to paint medieval towns which are full of mystery, fairy tales and beauty.
Painting them, I plunge into the old world, wander through the narrow streets, and listen the whisper of the past.  I would like to share my love to old towns with other people.
For my painting I use acrylic on canvas and prefer bright deep colours.

Daily Life of Аncient Сities
Acrylic on Canvas. 2019-2020.
Real spirit of past centuries still live in the ancient cities and attract many tourists. Tiled roofs, cobblestone streets, town hall squares, high towers, fortress walls, and much more - remain in memories forever. Time changes the appearance of medieval cities. Modern bold buildings are replacing the old ones. But old cities are still alive. They observe daily life in their quiet streets and feel happy that they are still needed by people. They share their secrets and stories with grateful residents and visitors.
Adelaide Spring
Adelaide Spring. Acrylic on Canvas. 2019. 40x40cm. The city of Adelaide is always beautiful. It is a sleeping beauty in the cold time and a charming fairy in the warm seasons. It looks fantastic in spring when the purple Jacaranda blooms. One day, walking along an alley strewn with jacaranda petals, I met a little girl on a scooter. Although the day was overcast, it seemed to me that the sun was shining brightly. So much joy and light came from the girl on the scooter and the purple jacaranda! I wish our city to thrive and always be as beautiful as jacaranda and as happy as that little girl on the scooter. $150
Town on a Hill
Town on a Hill. Acrylic on Canvas. 2019. 40x40cm. These are memories of Croatia. Suddenly hot day was replaced by drizzling rain. Nature and small town have break from the heat, as well as lazy cats. $150
ats Love Music
Cats Love Music. Acrylic on Canvas. 2019. 30x40cm. This is a piece of Old Tallinn. The harmonica is playing. There are no passers-by, everyone is busy. But the harmonica player has a grateful audience - local cats who love music. SOLD
Gold Twilight
Gold Twilight. Acrylic on Canvas. 2019. 30x40cm. The musicians are preparing to perform. Golden twilight is falling on the sleepy city. The sound of music are mixing with the dim light of old street lamps and floating over the quiet streets. $150
Picture
5. “G’day, Mate!” Acrylic on Canvas. 2019. 40x40cm. Ancient cities are full of not only secrets, legends and incredible stories. They are also full of unexpected encounters. Who knows how they will end... $150
The Streets of White Lantans
The Streets of White Lantern. Acrylic on Canvas. 20x50cm. Where this long street leads us to? To a cosy café? Abandoned courtyard? Or maybe to a wise and kind fairy tale with the very happy end? $150
Spanish Spirit
Spanish Spirit. Acrylic on Canvas. 2020. 30x30cm. In the ancient cities are still miracles happen. Sometimes the shadows of sleeping centuries come out of the past and walk along the narrow streets and cobblestones. They wander into their old courtyards where they were once happy. $150
Cats and Autumn.
Cats and Autumn. Acrylic on Canvas. 30x30cm. The Gates of Old Tallinn have seen a lot in their time. Copper, orange, and yellow leaves fall on the tiled roofs of the old towers. Cats can smell autumn. And while it's not cold yet, they enjoy the autumn leaves and play with them. $150
Euorpean Zigzag
European Zigzag. Acrylic on Canvas. 2019. 30x30cm. The streets of European cities are extremely interesting. You never know where they'll lead. Maybe they will lead us to medieval fabulous world and share their secrets… $150
On the Streets of Orange Lanterns
On the Streets of Orange Lanterns. 2020. 30x30cm. On a quiet street of orange lanterns, there is a lot of activity - small puppies playing with a ball. Old wise lanterns look at them and remember their youth. SOLD

"Living on Water"
People from ancient times built their towns near the water.  And I wanted to show the beauty of old buildings and the water element, which perfectly complement each other.

Irina Mirosnitsenko
"Tallinn at Night" This is my hometown on the cold Baltic Sea. It has a lower and upper town, fortresses, towers and narrow alleys. I just wanted to imagine what my city would look like if it had the same canal as Venice. Acrylic on canvas. 20x25cm. $75.
Picture
"The Town from Fairy Tale" People are very busy today. They have a lot of work to do. I would like that this picture allowed us to relax and return at least for a while to the fantastic world of the forgotten fairy tales. Acrylic on canvas. 22x32cm. $75.
Irina Mirosnitsenko SALA 2019
"Cats in the Port Town" The sounds of a busy day dissolve in honey evening, the streets of the city become empty, and wise black cats go for a walk. Acrylic on canvas. 35x45cm. 35x45cm. $250
Picture
"Coral Night on Neva River" St Petersburg. This beautiful city was built 300 years ago. Now it is supplemented with modern drawbridges. At night, bridges are raised to allow large ships to pass. Acrylic on canvas. 30x40cm. $140
Irina Mirosnitsenko SALA 2019
"Autumn in Amsterdam" Instead of bright summer – grey and a little sad colours. Time for hot coffee and delicious scones, which all Holland bakeries can offer you. Acrylic on canvas. 30x40cm. 30x40cm. $140.
Picture
Emerald Twilight. It is an old European town. Somewhere in Holland. It’s is probably 700 years old. It has a lot of water canals, funny curved houses and favourite transport is still a bicycle. Acrylic on canvas. 30x40cm. $140
Picture
"Orange Sunset" Grand Canal. Venice. I allowed myself a bit of imagination by adding a small rooftop house. Maybe the good dwarf still lives there… Acrylic on canvas. 40x50cm. . $160
Irina Mirosnitsenko SALA 2019
"Trams on the streets of Lisbon" The tram is tired of driving on the same route and, tinkling and rattling, it goes towards the sea to turn there into a ship to sail beyond the blue horizon. Acrylic on canvas. 30x40cm. . $140.
Irina Mirosnitsenko SALA 2019
"Among the Mountains and the Sea." For urban people it is exotic to swim in a boat at the foot of mountains. But for locals it’s hard work – fishing, selling fish and live in houses on wooden stills. But despite the difficulties and lack of comfort, people need to survive on the water. They live a simple life, and each new day is a reward for their hard work. Acrylic on canvas. 40x50cm. $160
Irina Mirosnitsenko
"Magenta Sunset in Venice" Venice has unusual delicate shades of azure. And it is difficult to imagine that in winter it becomes grey and floods the city. Acrylic . on canvas. 30x40cm. $140
Irina Mirosnitsenko
"Sea Serenade" . The beauty of Italy continues to attract and inspire artists. The setting sun splashes in the waves of the Mediterranean Sea, which sing a romantic love Serenade. Acrylic on canvas. 30x40cm. $140
