Spectacular multi award-winning Artist & Decorator of Porcelain
Barbara Shepherdson introduces her glorious porcelain paintwork behind her
Royal Adelaide Show Multi First Prize Winner
Barbara Shepherdson is a local artist who paints on Porcelain.
She started painting in 1997 with Shirley Rosenthal as her teacher and paints regularly for commission and sales.
Barbara has thus far entered 68 pieces in the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Show gaining -
36 First Prizes, 23 Second prizes and 6 Third prizes in various categories.
In addition she has been awarded the Most Outstanding Exhibit in the Campbelltown Art Prize, Porcelain Art Section, twice in 5 years. She was also appointed, by public voting, the Most Outstanding Exhibit at an Exhibition held by the South Australia China Painters Association at the North Lodge, Botanical Gardens in 2009.
She has attended various Workshops and Seminars including a 3 day workshop with Andrew Or, a talented Artist from Vermont, U.S.A.
In addition she has held Treasurer of the South Australia China painters Association S.A. since 2002 and also the position of Minute Secretary since 2006.
Barbara welcomes enquiries from people interested in taking up this intriguing Art Form which can take many stages of firing in a kiln to set the colours.
