Now on Display at the Glenelg Art Gallery Stamford Grand Glenelg
Bio of Miranda Lloyd South Australian Artist (Houghton, Adelaide Hills).

The art of Miranda Lloyd expresses her connection with her natural surroundings. Miranda’s enthusiasm to paint comes from her own garden, wishing to bring her “Outside, Inside”; whist complimenting her modern lifestyle. Miranda’s paintings exaggerate natures lines, shapes and colours, creating a modern and contemporary style.

Miranda also experiments with abstract, realism and surrealism, using acrylic and oil mediums; and any materials that creates a texture.

Miranda specialises in painting for ones home, ensuring the painting matches with the clients surroundings.
Miranda has had a long association with the visual arts, travelling Australia painting large scale murals in many tourist destinations and illustrating a number of children’s books. Formal qualifications are Commercial Art and Graphic Design and has been working as a Graphic Artist for over 17 years and professionally as an artist the past 5 years.

One of Miranda’s big breaks was exhibiting at the National Wine Centre of Australia in 2013. From exhibiting there she was picked up by award winning God's Hill Wines Lyndoch, Barossa Valley (wine maker Charlie Scalzi). God's Hill Wines have produced an art series called "Divine" wine, showcasing her paintings as their label - "Vine" (Shiraz) and "Wine Glasses " (Unwooded Chardonnay). Visit God's Hill Wines website for more details.

2012 she received an offer to exhibit in New York at Agora Gallery. She will eventually full fill this in the next few years as concentrating on Australia first.

Miranda has also donated to charities for silent auctions and has raised over $4000 in 2013 to help organisations that help animals and children.

Her artworks have also been selected to be featured in the all new Savvy Kitchens & Bathrooms showroom on Unley Rd (2014).

One of Miranda's latest achievement is that the Adelaide Casino purchased an original Miranda Lloyd painting titled Tranquility to feature in their new VIP Platinum room (high rollers). They will also display a bio of her next to the specially framed artwork.

She now lives her dream of running her own business as a Designer and Visual Artist, filling many homes locally, interstate and internationally. The Glenelg Art Gallery has been a gate way to interstate and overseas buyers, to her knowledge she has sold artworks to buyers in every state of Australia and countries such as USA, UK, China, Germany, Singapore and New Zealand. She even made the Chinese news through exhibiting at the Glenelg Gallery for SALA in 2012 and appeared on a TV show in 2013. She has also had over 45 newspaper stories about her achievements and events in just the past three years, thanks to the great support of Joan at the Courier.I have had over 17 years experience in graphic design, web design, marketing and visual arts and have headed many national and international brands including running a design department at Certegy Australia (top 150 Australian listed companies), Bickford's Australia, Vok Beverages, Wheel and Barrow, Fosters, Diageo, The Fairies (TV show), God's Hill Wines, Hahndorf Farm Barn, Hahndorf Business and Tourism Association, mining industries, Local Councils and Government departments plus design for many local businesses. I operate my own graphic design and visual arts business and am available for any freelance or part time projects.

"I am involved with many exhibitions and art galleries in South Australia. Plus have my own wine art series produced by God's Hill Wines. My enthusiasm to paint comes from my love for the Adelaide Hills, wishing to bring the “Outside, Inside”; whilst complimenting my modern lifestyle. My paintings exaggerate natures lines, shapes and colours, creating a modern and contemporary style. I experiment with abstract, realism and surrealism, using mixed mediums; and any materials that create a high level of texture. Average price for an original Miranda Lloyd painting based on 100cm x 100cm is between $490 and $590."

Talking of wine, art and all things wonderful, CONGRATULATIONS Miranda Lloyd who has designed the latest labels for a yummy Special Edition of God's Hill Wines !! Featuring the paintings now at the Gallery! History in the making . . How does it get better than that?

Miranda  exhibited her artworks at the National Wine Centre of Australia, during February and March 2013, which opened the doors to many amazing opportunities, one of them having her own art series as a wine label for our national and international market.

The Label: Award winning winemaker Charlie Scalzi from God’s Hill Wines came across Miranda Lloyd’s art works at the National Wine Centre of Australia and sparked an immediate love for her art. Charlie recalls the creation of statue out of his backyard clay hill, the drawing and colouring of his dear Rondine that migrated every year back in spring to their nest under his home gutters of Zolli, Italy. Hence the idea of an Art Series label.

First released series is titled “Divine”, featuring Miranda Lloyd’s Vine and Wines artworks. These wines are for the collector, only producing 1000 of each varient - Shiraz 2011 and Chardonnay 2012. Each bottle will be numbered. Release price is $19.50 for 4 weeks only (phone, mail or email orders only), normally $26. Or can be purchased through God’s Hill Wines online shop (Wineboss) via their website.

God’s Hill Wines – Scalzi Estate Background: A family business producing a selection of premium quality red and white wines, situated in the famousBarossa Valley. Our style is a continuation of a tradition which has been practiced since Roman times in the Campania region of Central Italy. After establishing God's Hill Vineyard with his family, Charlie Scalzi's love and passion for fine wine created the God's Hill Wines label. In doing so he has followed in the footsteps of his ancestors; bringing an ancient tradition to a new land.

God's Hill Wines specialises in small batch boutique wines. The combination of naturally occurring fertile soil and the deeply respectful winemaking methodology makes for a wine experience that is unique. The vineyard is set in the wine region the original inhabitants called Poonawatta which means my fertile land. God's Hill Wines are made from a careful selection of premium grapes from Charlie's God's Hill vineyard carefully tended by the vigneron Felice Scalzi, Charlie's son. "God's Hill, the wines with heart and soul."
